Right to Read Film Screening
The District is committed to forging strong partnerships with families and our community in order to improve academic outcomes. In partnership with Read by 4th, the Fund for The School District of Philadelphia, Read 2 Succeed, Center for Black Educator Development, Reading Allowed, Teach for America, and Joyful Readers, the School District of Philadelphia will be presenting the highly anticipated film screening of The Right to Read on August 29, 2023 at the Fillmore. In addition to the film screening and a panel discussion, local organizations will be sharing free literacy resources for families, educators, and education activists interested in fostering a culture of literacy at home and across the city.
